Re: Sleep - Heavy or Light?

I am a bit of both and it varies throughout my night's rest - I can get by without much sleep if I have to, just taking naps, or I can get down and have a good deep sleep (which is harder sometimes).
Mind you I have to turn round seven times first and then curl up before I sleep at all.

Re: Sleep - Heavy or Light?

I am a light sleeper but it's not by nature I'm sorry to say, I need at least 9 hours sleep, and I find it very difficult to stay asleep once I do go off. This is a lot to do with the fact I spent 11 years up to my daughter passing away living on very little sleep.

She needed turning and checking every half hour and her condition meant she only slept 4 hours max and that could be any time between 8 in the evening and 7 in the morning meaning if she went to sleep at 9 in the evening she would be awake by 1 in the morning - absolute HELL!!!!

I can honestly say I don't know how I managed it, but I did and maybe her being my first helped me in a lot of ways as I had nothing comparable to the situation.

I sleep well but usually get woken up around 3am every morning by a paw touching my face. And if I shut my bedroom door I wake to Cleo scratching the door

I am a light sleeper, I think due to Murphy's (GSD) epilepsy. For nine years before he passed away two years ago, the slightest noise and I would leap out of bed.

I'm a very sound sleeper; will sleep thru the Last Trump, I'm afraid. But cannot nap during the day.

Do you have a nap during the day? Or have you always managed on 3 hours?

Re: Sleep - Heavy or Light?

I rarely have a daytime nap but after a few "bad" nights I do manage to have a 6 or 7 hour night's sleep.
