Thanks to each of you for your warm welcome. I am especially pleased that the forum is alive, not so much with the sound of music, but the sound of typewriter keys as they get pressed frequently and posts are contributed. There is nothing more depressing than joining a forum and finding no- one has read or posted.

One question. I've yet to find a quick response of a " thumbs up" or " thanks" when some says something especially nice.

Bob, I've just clicked that exclamation mark on your post, thinking it could be a thumbs up, hope it hasn't reported you as that wasn't the intention.

Colin, if you go into Go Advance when posting a message, you will see smiley's and you can request a Thumbs Up on there. Susie x

Colin, in the square box below, you will see the words 'Post Quick Reply' or 'Go Advanced'.

Click on Go Advanced then write your message and smiley.

let's give it a try, as yet, can't find anything suggestive of a smiley oh yes, but what about if I read a post and think to myself, "that's nice, they deserve an acknowledgment" ? and no comment.
