I think it depends what sort of person you are to begin with

With the exception of illness causing grumpiness as DM suggests I don't see why age should affect your humor ..

Definately Muddy...I agree someones life situation can seriously effect their humour,that isnt their fault and hopefully is just a blip that they can get over
I cant imagine not having a good giggle about things and even worse not being able to find anything funny in life....theres usually always some dark humour to be had

Agreed. I found humour got me through some of the most trying times in life, made them more bearable. Dark humour mostly.

I don't think I have lost my sense of humour but I do think its
hard to crack it into my conversation as I have got older and left
work. Used to be well tuned to humour but I think when you are
by yourself for hours on end in a day it is hard to pick the humour
out of your brain quickly as it was when you were younger.
