What about Wales Tessa, I think you can get a train to Fishguard , there are lots of holiday cottages there.

This is the sort of thing for 2 nights ..

They look lovely Meg, but a bit pricey for me, I many have to go b& b.
It's a good location I'm looking for really, then I can look for something cheap, like a cardboard box with a view.

I almost booked two nights in Bournemouth, leaving next Tuesday. I should, shouldn't I? The rate was very good for B&B.

I took the family to Torquay One Christmas, went to a big hotel overlooking the sea.
We were waited on by French waiters it was great.
Spoilt when I got the bill never mind you cant take it with you.
