Re: Small suprise

I have a very dear friend, and I do love her in every other way, but for the 30 years I've known her, she races into our big dep't store on Boxing Day and buys a load of heavily marked down junk to give as Christmas gifts the following year. They usually tree decorations, or Christmas tea towels or oven mitts, or Christmas wrapping-paper holders or marked down Christmas food almost at its sell-by date.

She means well and I thank her profusely every year but as we do minimal Christmas decorating (which she knows), I shove them in the cupboard for giving to charity chops later in the year.

Re: Small suprise

I'm not expecting anything this year from anyone (as last Christmas), but will be wrapping some things up, that I have been buying recently.

Two books
Two CDs
Small 2016 diary
A spare pair of brand new slippers, red colour
A handwash and hand cream duo in a little holder
And a little tray

Bought some gold coloured tissue paper when in Romford and when I get my tree out, will place them around it.

Well, might as well 'have some presents' somehow this year, even if bought by myself!!

And...just found the rest! The handbag I bought at Ideal Home Show Christmas, and a book from the pound shop, I'm a Celebrity, the inside story!

More surprises. Huzzah.

Early training from when stockings were put on the end of the bed. You touched them at your peril until you were told to open them.

No way was I going to risk losing my pink sugar mouse that I had waited all year for
