Re: Not PC

I think vertically challenged is darn insulting. Who decides who is challenged? Is their height a challenge?
To whom is it a challenge?

Dwarfism is a recognised general term, for hundred of growth problems.
I wish people would not be so coy about things.

Re: Not PC

The politically correct terms for dwarfism are "vertically challenged and persons of restricted growth syndrome". However their medical records state that they suffer from "dwarfism". Unless of course things have been amended yet again in the past few years.

No not really, only the gollies...the garage is now run by Mr Sparks!
The goliwogs were replaced by goblins.
And PC Plod doesn't rush about hitting people with his truncheon!
Remember the doll, what was her name? Wasn't it Angela Golden Hair? She's probably black now!
This makes amusing reading....

You're right Cass. It is (or was) a recognised medical and veterinary term - dwarfism. I wonder what Walt Disney would think about it?
Next thing we will hear will be 'Grumpy' must change his name so as not to upset bad tempered people. 'Bashful' might offend shy people and 'Sneezy' will offend people who suffer from hay fever etc etc.

Come to think of it, I'm surprised 'Black Beauty' hasn't had to change his name too!
