I remember those games that you played, a skipping song was "Jelly on the Plate". Did you do Double skips with a rope?

You know we look back at these games and lament the loss of them but sadly it's the older generation here who are yelling at the kids when they chalk a hopscotch game on the paving, yell when they play ball or get outside with their marbles. Really we loved it all and we are the ones telling the kids off now

We now chalk the hopscotch out then when I come home from work I take a broom and bottle of water and wash it away to stop the miseries moaning about it. A bit of chalk ? really so offensive ?

myra i had a friend same name ....balls up the wall my favourite pass time'
what about two ropes in the playground having to jump in lol... singing some song ' did any one ever play port side and starboard .? and hand gobs /or jacks /

French knitting and peg people ? both slightly more difficult now we don't have wooden cotton reals and pegs.

do u remember the class room game -fold the paper right in the corners all daft stuff lol till it made a like triangle with numbers on it -choose a number and color ..
