Re: UK Rude Place Names

In California there are the towns of Hambone, Likely, Needles, Prunedale, Raisin, Skidoo and Weed. Just silly not rude. Oregon has Boring, Drain and Idiotville.
Not the fine heritage and deep history of the UK!

Re: UK Rude Place Names

"Down the road to where I live is 'Twitty Fee'. " Ah, I know that one and was there once - many years ago. Some good names in Essex - eg. "Matching Tye".

Another place I have visited is "Intercourse" in Pensylvania.
In the Lake District is a hill called "Great Cockup" and back in Sussex is (Mind how you say it) - the village of "Fulking".

Re: UK Rude Place Names

Please forgive your Pug...I obviously have an extremely base character.
But this made oi chuckle. Y'know the times you wake up feeling a bit stiff....

Whilst driving along the A491 Stourbridge Road I spotted a "Bell End".

There's a Rider's Row here not far from Mount Dolly.
