Re: Why is it ?

We've always used duvets since we got a "continental quilt" as they were called, as a wedding present 41 years ago. We kept getting blankets as presents and I mentioned this to mother, who just called me ungrateful. The blankets remained largely unused. No real problem changing the cover though being King size, it's a two person job.

When we go off in the motorhome, we use sleeping bags.

Would hate the thought of going back to blankets, plus all the extra washing with sheets. Duvets for me every time.

Re: Why is it ?

We don't have a Duvet, we have a Throwover type blanket, much easier.

Re: Why is it ?

Have a duvet but the winter one is heavier and so always have to warn the OH to stay out of the bedroom til I've finished, he gets upset by bad language...

Re: Why is it ?

When I worked in a boarding school at the start of each term we made up the girl's beds and in 'my house' that was 68 beds and duvets
I never had a problem with duvets,
.. first you turn the duvet inside,
.. now then put your arms inside and grab the top two corners furthest from you,
..with the duvet corners still in your hands grab the top two duvet corners and hold them,
..now let the cover fall over the duvet .
