Yes, I started out as a toolmaker but later I did further schooling to get my mechanical engineers qualifications.
Some of my inventions for the welding industry are patented around the world but sadly I don't get any royalties as I had to sign my rights away to the organisation I worked for...still, I enjoyed what I did and was virtually my own boss so never had any hassles...I've been retired now for 11 years due to some pretty bad spinal injuries.

My husband (a retired mech engineer) likes archery too, along with a son and 2 grandsons.

Hi Archer,
Welcome from me too.
I'm from Adelaide too and my hubby is a retired Mechanical Engineer too.
Worked at Chrysler's, Holden's and Mitsubishi among many other places
then moved on in his own business.
