Re: New Year's Traditions

I've had a lovely Christmas and am now heading up to a lovely New Year's Eve where there will be music (keyboard played by 1 of my friends off the forum who is I assure you a very real friend) and merryment and alcohol by the bucket. We will be bringing in the New Year together and have a damned good one. Happy New Year one and all, may all your wishes come true and your hopes be fulfilled.....................even Elbee's

Re: New Year's Traditions

No New Year traditions for us.
We used to go to parties with friends..sadly all my five closest friends have died. Now we have a tipple and watch the firworks from the patio. For the past few years, one person somewhere, lets off the loudest firework I've ever heard, every new year
We have been to Trafalger Square a few times but that is for the young ones now.
My son and daughter keep a pre-christmas tradition. They all meet in Trafalger Square and sing carols. We started that when they were tots and it's lovely to see they are keeping it up

Probably got something to do with your silk nightie, or the fact that 1lb of beef would do about 6-8 people for a party, only 4 for dinner but even then it's called potato ash or 'tater ash'
