Re: BOBBY's GIRL

My grandad used to sing "Put another nickel in Music Music Music "( by Teresa Brewer) to me when I was tiny. I always thought he was singing " Put another Little Lynne" - maybe he was !!!

Re: BOBBY's GIRL

Families are odd, aren't they?
Had an aunt Alice...called Lal, or Lallie
Uncle Jack................called John
Grandad Dickie....called Cappy
An old friend William...called Bronc
Grandmother Elizabeth...called Sarah (didn't find out until after she died!)
Another Elisabeth...called Lily
Another Sarah.....called Liz

Re: BOBBY's GIRL

Indeed they are Jan.

My mother was called Caroline but everybody called her Janice. Why? Well, I asked her one day and she said "well somebody mistook my name one day at the Salvation Army when I was 17 and it stuck".

I was even more confused after I heard that... The normal protocol is to correct them, not assume the name. Hmm!!

STOP PRESS

DEAR SUSAN is 74 this year and is still in demand for 1960s tours, most recently sharing billing with Barry Ryan and Dave Berry. Part of her set incorporates a tribute to some of the other girl singers of the 1960s – Helen Shapiro, Dusty Springfield, Petula Clark, Kathy Kirby*and Cilla Black*– and she sings a song most associated with each particular star.
