Re: Waccy Baccy

Thanks for the link, Jimmy. I didn't realise it was on Hodges Street. I thought it was on Park Road and also thought it was the loft because a section of the roof was blown out.

I'm only glad nobody was injured.

Re: Waccy Baccy

Does anyone here partake of the substance in question? Personally I don't but that's only because it's difficult to get a hold of in my circle of acquaintances.
Legalization may be too late now given the size of the criminal operation, although the US transitioned from prohibition to legal alcohol sales rather smoothly. IMHO it should never have been demonized and outlawed since it's rather an innocuous substance when compared to tobacco.

Re: Waccy Baccy

I used to on the odd social occasion many moons ago. Never touched it after the kids arrived. The eldest is in her 30's now. I've been thinking about it recently though for medical purposes. I am developing Arthritis in my knuckles. Some days the pain is crippling and the pain killers don't do much on a bad day.

Regrettably Lloyd matey, no. My lungs wouldn't take the strain of the 'smoke' pollution any more.

No Paul matey, the survival odds for lung transplants are not high enough for me.

Fair enough mate. I live in fear of my lungs giving up on me. When I was younger, although I can swim very well and love diving on holiday, I always had an irrational fear of drowning.

Paul matey, unfortunately my lungs were badly scarred many years ago whilst I served in the Merchant Navy and breathed in the fumes of Liquid Petroleum Gas in a confined space.

Re: Waccy Baccy

That is bad news my friend. sounds like you have lived with it for quite a while then. I hope they looked after you as a result.
