Can't be bothered with them, although we did when the children were small. Later when I worked in Amsterdam, I used to love the Pannekoeken that came either sweet or savoury.

The last ones I ate were for breakfast in Rhode Island. They came in a gut-busting stack served with maple syrup and a side of grilled bacon.

No pancakes for me as home alone, had some salad with ham, a small avocado and chips.
I like pancakes with castor sugar and lemon juice.

Sue I guess that is bit like like a flat yorkshire pudding then . I have eaten the latter as a pudding with lemon juice and sugar .

I had mine with plenty of butter, a dash of sugar and lemon, roll them up and down the hatch, I must have scoffed off 6 or seven big ones at teatime, lovely.

Not worth making any-just for me.Did use to make them for the family,butter,caster sugar and lemon juice was the norm.

I made a large batch today for tea as three of the grandchildren came.. 5 eggs and a pint of whole milk went into them and I offered a variety of toppings. Demerra sugar, lemon, orange, golden syrup, Nutella or soft cheese (not all together, although they tried). They had three each and it seemed like a production line (3 omelette pans on the go). I only had two, and OH had three.

We had ours with chicken casserole for main course and then one each with lemon juice and sugar for dessert.

I forgot to be honest, but had I made some, it would be lemon and sugar every time.
