A bow tie is the only type of tie I will wear nowadays and then only on very special occasions. The dangly alternative is so ridiculous I wouldn't be seen dead in one.

Some would call a drophead coupe a sporty convertible, but the connection with a bow tie escapes me, so maybe we will be enlightened at some point Andyone?

I concur. I no longer wear the "cow tow" dangly noose around my neck, as I am a freeman now. I also will wear a suitable bow tie at events that require it and I have a good range of colourful but tasteful ones to choose from. I did wear a dangly black tie at a funeral last week which I felt was an appropriate occasion for that.

I wouldn't mind a spin in one, but not too fast - vertigo .....
