Re: Exhaust fell off today.

He didn't weld it back on, the brackets holding the rear box on broke when it was dragged along the road. He just welded some new ones on.

Re: Exhaust fell off today.

Years and years ago I was with Gordon in his ancient VW summat or other. He drove over something (I forget what) and the whole exhaust pipe came off, front to back.

I had to sit in the back with it sticking out of the window and trying to hold it, which was a bit of a struggle. It was a quiet country road, and the only other car we saw driving in the opposite direction was a POLICE car!

Re: Exhaust fell off today.

We expected the Police car to turn round and come back after us, but it didn't. They must have seen me tongue dangling out with the exertion of trying to keep the exhaust pipe in check.

Pixie, of course you have exhaust pipes in Canada. Ask Jon about it. I know you don't drive lass, but every vehicle in the world has an exhaust pipe!
