You can't pay for love with money Stephan, and if you do it will be the money that is loved and not yourself.
You can show kindness by meeting her halfway with the cost, but if you just buy it, it will be taken for granted that you will do the same with other things.
My dad gave me money towards things I wanted, but I loved him because he showed me how to pay for things myself..... by doing a Saturday job. I will always be more grateful for what he taught me than what he bought me!

If you were her actual parent what would you do ? That's how I always think with ours. If I were their real mum I would set rules helped them get things for themselves not just hand over my cheque book on demand.
