You would think that appeasing the masses is the name of the game at the end of the day so why alienate huge sections of it? Why doesn't a party give the vast majority of the people what they want, or at least pay some lip service to it? What is being done to the disabled and vulnerable in our society is upsetting people from all walks of life - along with the NHS - immigration etc. I should think a government that wants to stay in for a very long period needs to be highly flexible thereby able to adapt to social / economic change instead of rigidly adhering to some sort of political ideology.Re: The Lunatic Left
