I dont understand the question ...most people whove died get published in their local newspapers obituaries section dont they? and their age gets stated and wether they died suddenly or peacefully
Why does it matter wether its published or not? I dont see what youre getting at with the question.
My Mum left specific instructions that she didn't want her death put in the local paper. She was always an incredibly private person so I guess she wanted to keep it that way.
If you are a public figure then your death will be publicised whatever age you are (I'm guessing that's the gist of the thread) unless you live in a Country where they prefer to keep it a secret.

Yes LD,@ 10.20PM last night, I had my back to the telly, and on the news it was announced that someone aged 90 (who I personally had not heard of) had passed away, my thought was, to get to that age should news worthy, not your death of Old Age.

Famous people will get some sort of publicity whatever their age, but I think family and friends will just get a obituary mention in the paper and local word of mouth, would they not?
