Re: New Kids

New blood is needed here, not folks who just pop in to say hello, folks with staying power, not the usual "Oh life just overtook me, so I dain't have time to type a few words" comprende, it ain't rocket stuff.

Re: New Kids

I knew what Spitty meant. (that's the second time in two years ).
He thinks we need some new blood on here, and not just the ones who join and disappear just as quick.
He meant (stop me if I'm wrong Spitty), but I think he meant are forums an old fashioned way of communicating now, or do some 'oldies' not want to admit their age.

Am I about right, Spitty?

BTW, its my 2 year anniversary with OFF today,
so the next round's on me - cheers.

Spot on Mups, there are only so many things to say, the knack is saying the same thing, from a different angle.

So you're saying we've become boring - or communication is dead

Re: New Kids

I've been here a while now (and in the same guise), I tend to look inwards first, and I'm more fed up of the sound of my own typing, it's getting a bit tainted.

Re: New Kids

Well, the answer to that seems to be start some interesting threads to keep us all engaged. I am not sure new blood is needed we have plenty of different characters with different view points I would have thought.

I guessed that was your meaning Paul but one can never be sure

I was musing on this the other day 'What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun'' as a well know book puts it when I answer a new/old topic for the umpteenth time

I have observed over the years there is generally a core of members on sites who are constant and form the backbone, then butterflies who flit in and out, and occasionally a new member who finds a home and joins the core group.
