Re: Brexit Unicorn Found
Hi
Before we all get too exciting this a very different technology.
It relates solely to goods produced in one EU Country passing through a Non EU Country before arriving in another EU Country.
As both producer and point of sale are in the Single Market there are no duties, sanitary checks, point of origin checks or paperwork required.
That aside Varadkar is playing silly idiots.
The DUP are voting down any Border in the Irish Sea.
We will not get Canada +++, it is not on offer.
We have turned down a simple WTO Free Trade Deal.
This, to my mind is stupidity on our part.
It would eliminate over 90% of checks required at the Irish Border.
The rest could be dealt with by point of production inspections.
Such a deal would also eliminate most of the delays at Dover.
Unfortunately the present Government are not in favour of this.
May and Hammond are still refusing to release the money for a No Deal.
There was a report produced on 21st May for discussion by Cabinet.
They did not present it.
It basically said 85% of what we need for No Deal was planned for, but would take at least 8 Months and a further £1Billion to be released immediately to be put into effect.
I blame our own Politicians, not anyone else.
Shame on them.
