Re: Ironing

I iron everything - and - (whispers it quietly) I enjoy it!

Cheshire Cat - with regard to saris - it depends what they are made from. A lot are chiffon or polyester and do not really need ironing - but the pure cotton or silk ones do. As sari is six and half metres long - it is not an easy task - been there!

Re: Ironing

I can't remember the last time I ironed, I fold clothes over the airer or hang them up to dry and they don't get creased, life's too short to stand over an ironing board suffering backache

Re: Ironing

I still iron.. I wear cotton shirts and tops and they always seem to crinkle no matter what I do.

Re: Ironing

My take on ironing is if I can get it on the ironing board I will iron it ! Socks, tea towels, sheets, dusters anything really.

I am better than I used to be though with housework I only hoover once a day now - well twice if I can get away with it.

Used to be a six or seven times a day hooverer. But I'm less OCD about housework these days.

Yes they do I have cotton sheets I don't like polycotton and they do need ironing

I don't like man made fibres in clothes preferring cotton, wool or linen and they need ironing too.

I don't iron towels it flattens the pile.

Re: Ironing

I'd never iron sheets whatever the cloth, just pull them tight to the corners, you don't feel the creases when you lie down
