So who do you use and are they any good and cheaper ?
Nearly fainted when I read the letter.
If you want a comparison. My
NRMA premium membership costs me $300 (£150) a year (because my vehicle is over 1.5 tonnes) but it does include free towing up to 100km or the nearest service centre (which can be many 100s km if you are out bush) plus it covers my trailer/caravan up to 2 tonnes.
There are also all the usual things like:
- Access unlimited roadside assistance.
- Flat batteries
- Empty tanks
- Access up to $3000 a year for accommodation, car hire and onward travel
- Free towing
- Free child seat fitting
- Free child restraint installation
- Locked out up to $100 towards a vehicle locksmith
- Breakdown - over 100km from home, - accommodation and onward travel
- Taxi cover $50 towards the taxi fare if you break down close to home
I have never used the child restraint/seat service however at those prices I would recommend moving to Australia. For most UK cars (under 1.5 tonnes) membership would only cost $200 (£100)
