Indian food used to be my favourite but it got supplanted by Thai food largely because Australia doesn't have that many Indian restaurants. I am afraid I like it really hot and spicy, if it doesn't bring tears to your eyes then it's not worth eating (I am joking but only a bit).
My Chinese friends preserve their hot chillis in oil but I haven't quite worked that one out yet.
