I once met Tony Benn in Chesterfield whilst walking the dog. We had a large black Lab at the time. Tony Benn stopped to make a fuss of the dog, we just passed the time of day and went on our way. I´ve never been a political person but I do recall various conversations during those days where people said that Tony Benn always had time for his constituents and did much to help them out with various matters. I guess he will be missed by a lot of people.

God rest Tony Benn, a man I always admired, a tireless worker and a brilliant speaker, even his many rivals respected him. I hope our government send proper representation to pay tribute to this great man.
