I don't have any of those, Spitty, but I do know my easy walking pace is 4mph - can keep that up all day! No idea how many steps involved.

I have no idea how many steps I take in a day indoors. As to walking out doors, it's so hilly here, (my fault for choosing a house at the top of one of the highest hills here), I'd be exhausted walking anywhere. Down is fine, it's the up that gets me. I am very unfit. I am fine on flat ground, can walk for ages.

I use a GPS and average around 20 miles per week of running, and 13 miles of walking. Double the walking in the summer...It comes out at about 10,000 steps per day...

I wish I lived where you live Tiff, I love walking and running uphill, and it's all flat around here...

If there are 8000 in an hour then I must be doing around 68,000 on a work day. X 3 days that's 204,000 per week.

I need to stop.

Hold off one second, I believe I want into this swapping business too! I am ever looking for hills to give my legs a workout. I can offer soft sand beaches but be warned that the snowbirds in human form can be a problem .

SF, I think that amount of walking is definitely doable and your sister is the clever one for getting that many steps completed.

Goodness knows what I do, but I am forever up n down my stairs and do at least four dog walks a day. However, as she spends much of the time stopping n sniffing, not sure I actually do much myself. I usually get cold and encourage her to start making our way home.

And saying that, off out shortly for the third one.
