Re: Good morning Saturday

buenas dias all. Not much change here, very warm but it does keep going overcast now and then. Friends coming for dinner tonight so I have to get myself organised in the kitchen. No other plans, just a take it as it comes day. Have a nice day all.

Yesterday i purchased a " small bird attractor " from the National Trust shop, a tiny device which you twist back and forth in your hands and is supposed to emit a high pitched sound that mimics birds. Duly armed i sat on a bench by the harbour and began to use the thing, within a few short seconds i had a response, a female rounded the corner weighing in excess of 20 + stone, resplendent in grey tracksuit bottoms, a too tight top and displaying the usual plumage of a myriad tattoos. I glanced up at her, then looked back at my bird attractor, stood up,. chucked the thing in the Harbour ....and went for a pint.!

I have done my usual standard tests and can find nothing obviously wrong with her and she has a normal temperature.
Next step I guess will be a course of anti inflammatory and see how she is on Monday.

I am going to do some washing paintwork with the windows open before the weather gets too cold.

Enjoy your day .
I hope the vet can give Chloe something to perk her up, Meg.

Love your humour Tom , and good morning to all.

Just started to spit with rain here, but not quite as chilly as it has been the last few mornings.

Lots of jobs to catch up at home today, both inside and out, so best get a move on.

Thanks Mags and Summer back from the vet with meds and a big bill . Chloe has got some pain in her neck and spine so we will see how she goes on the meds.

Meg one thing I learned from having cats for 40 years is, when they are hurting, they would rather settle down and rest than eat... even if they need some food.
This usually happens if they have been in a fight or hurt themselves, so lets hope it is something that will heal quickly and Chloe will soon be feeling better.

Have they x-rayed her spine Meg?

I am just wondering if it might be something 'out of place' and pressing on a nerve, and whether a doggy chiropractor could help.
It happened to my old lurcher once. The vet showed me the slipped disc on x-ray but could only offer meds. I thought to myself, all the painkillers in the world aren't going to move it back for her, so I took her to my chiropractic friend.
She sorted her out within about 40 mins and she was fine for ever after.
The vet was impressed.
