I'm not keen on the areas I've visited but that was mainly North Africa, nowhere near as nice as other parts.

I'd like to try Kenya and Mozambique, I have friends in the latter.

I can advise you now, Kenya is a fantastic place for a holiday, the hotels are excellent, just don't decide to live there, it's a completely different ball game !

Seriously, yes if you decide to go there I can give you some useful information, (not available in the travel brochures and "useful" information handbooks".
