Hi May. Thanks for the welcome.

Similar weather here. I thought we were promised a decent Sunday? What happened to that? Oh well, I am about to venture into it for a shortish walk. Just for some air and a good old soaking.

Morning folks, we just got Grey May, no rain over the border, but i shant be venturing out today.

Rabbie. Burns.

I never hear the loud, solitary whistle of the curlew in a summer noon, or the wild mixing cadence of a troop of gray plovers in an autumnal morning, without feeling an elevation of soul like the enthusiasm of devotion or poetry.

Roll on Spring.

Re: Over 50's Club Scotland (part 3)

Thank you, Valentino.

I am not sure what can be posted in this thread, but here goes.

I have just had the misfortune of finding myself driving through the centre of Glasgow. It was quite unintentional but as the M8 was blocked and congested, I left it to drive through Glasgow and head home.

It has been many years since I have driven in Glasgow and this may be my last. The traffic flow is shocking and the restrictions make it so confusing.... and dangerous. I am nervously waiting to see if I have incurred a penalty as I think I may have driven through a Bus Gate or down some restricted streets. However, the signage is simply awful and once you are commited to a particular route, it is dangerous to simply stop in the middle of a street and take avoidance action.

It really is a mess. Made more challenging by the fact that the main route through the centre is being dug up and work crews are all over the place.

Perhaps if they banned so many buses, congestion would not be such and issue.

Sorry if this is not really apprapriate for this thread. Let me know if that is the case.

Evening All,...Nom You are the SFs own Geordie Burns...lovely words indeed.

I know what You mean Ossian, nightmare stuff driving in the City..I go in by bus and just getting from Glasgow cross to Buchanan St station takes forever,

Just back from a run to the carvery in Strathclyde Park, same thing there,so many roadworks I didn't recognise the place and I just live a couple of miles away,

As Myrtle says...anything goes on this Forum so go for it,I certainly enjoy the banter...more please
