Re: Army veteran charity walk for NHS

The total appears to have slowed – £29,048,747 – but there's still a few days to go! Where are all those rich people who wouldn't even miss the odd few £ thousand or even one very rich person who could donate £1 million to make it £30 million?

Interesting to read that another way has been found of recognising and honouring Tom Moore's achievement:

Re: Army veteran charity walk for NHS

Probably because if Mrs Windsor did it would be interpreted as a political statement supporting the defacto criticism of the funding of he NHS by this government.

Such is the nature of Momentum/ Labour.

I see that the Post Office is creating a special postmark to celebrate Captain Tom's achievement...

ETA: Oops... see the earlier post from Baz.

£29,201,874 at time of posting – less than £800,000 to go!

You would think some of the richest people in the UK would contribute what to them is peanuts,
just to make the final total up to £30 million – they wouldn't even notice it from their £ billions!
I am guessing that to them that amount is about the equivalent of a just few £s to any of us.

As usual the 'Daily Mail' would not allow me to read their news online item as I use an ad blocker!
Instead I found the same news elsewhere, it seems the flyover might attract people and they might not observe 'social distancing', see link below:

But why should they? For that matter why doesn't Mrs Windsor stump up the same as has already been donated? Or Cringe and Ginge? After all it's mostly OUR money they have.
