But were we ever stupid enough to leave the EU? Or even consider it?

Do you back the stance of the EU or do you back your own farming community fears and anger?

I'd rather be 'stupid' and stand on our own two feet than have a jackboot treading over our faces thank you.
Best regards, Little Englander.

All of 2020 will be spent negotiating a new and hopefully very warm and friendly trade relationship with the other 27 nations of the EU. My spies tell me there is a golden harvest of prosperity waiting out there.
Intriguing last comment.

No chance of that happening once your country banned referendums completely. Democracy by EU puppets at it's finest.

It's a united nations accord from 2015. Where does the EU come in?
Or don't you know the difference?
At first I was sympathetic with the farmers, but their protests are turning violent, and that doesn't fit in with democratic ways of expressing your opinion.

In a way, I think I'd find it quite entertaining to see the EU continue as it is, without us of course, because I have a strange feeling that they will eventually repeat a certain historic event.

I'd find it particularly funny to see many of those European supporters of the EU rapidly changing their tune!

All I'd ask is that we refuse to become 'involved' next time.

You're entitled to that opinion of course. It seems you fit it already.

We never had binding referenda, unlike your country, but you forgot to use that possibility when it counted, in 2016.
