Apparently, there are many deaths on Crib Goch and they contribute to the high death rate for Snowden, higher than Everest, allegedly. The exact figures are hard to come by but most of the dozens of mountain rescues each year are reported individually.

Even Crib Goch gets crowded in the summer:
and if someone gets "cragfast" then all scrambling behind will have to stop until they are released, so I guess that many climbers prefer the winter months when their forward momentum will not be compromised (and, of course, it's more of a "challenge" .....
) .....
