When I was growing up meals were always taken at the table. I just followed on the same lines with my own son, meals were at the table, even now, a snack or sandwich may be eaten whilst watching TV but thatīs all, main meals are eaten at the table. I am the youngest of three. My sisters and I had the job of 'laying the table' for our meals. Before any place settings or cutlery went on the table, the first thing that did was an empty milk bottle with a bamboo cane inside. If any of us misbehaved at the dining table, we received a sharp rap across the knuckles from either George or 'Dragon'.Re: Table Manners - or lack of them !
