Dinner Invitation

If you could pick four famous people to cook dinner for and who couldn't possibly reject the invitation, who would they be, and what would be your three course home-made menu?

I would choose those lovely actresses Lindsay Wagner and Joan Collins, and the actors Steven Seagal and Sir Ian McKellan ('cos he's a Wiganner)!

My menu would be:

Clear onion soup with crusty cob

Sausage and vegetable pie with creamed potatoes, asparagus and golden gravy - or

Smoked haddock with creamed potatoes, broccoli and Hollandaise sauce

Milk chocolate mint cake topped with fresh cream

Re: Dinner Invitation

I'd pick Peter Kay,John Bishop, Garth Brooks, and The Two hairy Bikers.

The guests would need a sense of humour with my culinary efforts.......

I think I'd cheat and get caterers in......

Re: Dinner Invitation

I'd ask my 2 favourite actors and my favourite comic.
Joe Lando,
Adrian Paul.
Billy Connolly.
I'd make Roast Beef or Pork, with 2 veg and roast potatoes. Followed up by a Black Forest Gateau.

I'm not one for fancy foods and I'm guessing those 3 would have had enough fancy food to last them a lifetime and would (hopefully) be pleased with old fashioned plain cooking.

Hmmmmmmmm Roast venison, done very slowly, Roast potatoes, roast parsnips, steamed leek, steamed celeriac, steamed swede - mash swede and celeriac together with a knob of butter. Make gravy from 1/2 bottle of Port. For sweet - Rhubarb crumble and custard.

As for guests - Rory Bremner, John Bird & John Fortune.
