Do You Dilute Liquids To Make Them Go Further?

I know someone who dilutes nearly everything! Liquid soap, washing up liquid, detergent for washing clothes and hair products. I sometimes, might use less, rather than dilute stuff.

Is this penny pinching or saving the planet?

Is it something you do, or do you know someone who does?

I don't dilute any liquids - they're designed to work at the consistency they are sold at. You can always use just a little less. A bottle of Fairy Platinum lasts me ages and ages.

Only when there is very little left in the bottle,Art,I even join soap together,as I have gotten older,I hate waste, same with dog food, never a tin,as they would cut their mouth, the tin foil ones, jack licks every last drop of gravy and meat.

I find the bottles of liquid soap are far too concentrated these days so yes I do thin that out or I get white streaks all through the dark wash and I have to haul it off the ropes and do the rinse and double spin again. Such a hassle far easier to dilute it.

I usually add water to hand soap pump dispensers when nearly empty or the last bit won't squirt!

I usually add a small dash of water to my single malt.

It makes it last longer, as it's expensive stuff!

No Art, but I have a little box in the cupboard under the sink just so that I can turn my Fairy Liquid bottle upside down to get every last drop out of it!

Shampoo, shower gel and washing up liquid, when getting to the end of the bottle, waste not want not.
