Wow thought I'd lost you all.

I posted a couple of days ago sitting in my living room, big crunching noise outside and all the lights went out.

We live on top of a hill and the hill side had slipped, taking with it half our car park and all our electricity, gas and water pipes and cables.

It's taken what feels like several weeks to get it all sorted out and we are at last back on line and cooking on gas

Quite amazing how you miss water on tap btw I think that was the worst, but not being able to get on line was a trial too.

My car went over the edge but Stevens is ok, he was out in his works van so that's ok too.

Council have been useless but gas and water companies were great.

My neighbour downstairs was extremely lucky as she was getting in her car when it happened but she managed to get back from the edge as the cars rolled over. So thankfully no one hurt.

I thought it was unusual you not posting!
You're normally part of the furniture here...

Is your car knackered then?

Good grief Julie - that sounds dire. I am glad that no-one was hurt.

Lol the local paper was here, they interviewed several residents and the fireman who was having his coffee. I don't know what it is about firemen but they were all rather handsome not an ugly or plain one among them !

That must have been frightening Julie, glad no-one was injured. Is your car a write-off?

Yes we are all ok but people owning garages aren't allowed into them, bin area is too dangerous too.

Yes it has a tree on it and insurance aren't being helpful it's either act of God or was a known fault so they are not having any difficulty saying no
