Wow rain of biblical proportions here

Was cooler this morning which was refreshing but the rain has bashed the gardens down again and Nathan with Elsie looked like drowned rats when they came home !

Odd summer we are having this year, it's muggy now after the rain but sky is black round the back of us so may have rain coming back.

Are you having an odd weather summer too ?

It is much cooler today here as well, Julie.
We've had a couple of heavy showers so far, but they've only lasted less than 5 mins. I think we might cop it later according to the weather.

Drains couldn't cope here it's like a river in the road. Hope that doesn't reach you mups.

Rain what rain its like the Sahara here in Essex hardly a drop in weeks. I am sick of watering that ruddy garden.
There is a bit of humidity about but that is as close to water as we are getting here at present.

Please send us a bucket or two if you have any to spare..

I think the SW has escaped the heavy rain today, just a few spots making my new decking look messy.

I think we are going to get it tomorrow though.

A couple of sessions but nothing heavy. I believe we are getting more tomorrow: hope so.

Rain was forecast today, I got the strimmer and lawnmower out anyway.

Went around the outside with the strimmer and a few spots of rain came down.

Put the strimmer and mower away, but as yet no real rain.

I spent time watering the pots with some cooling spots falling on my back.......but still no real rain.

They are forecasting heavy rain and thunder for here now.

It's been a steady light rain all afternoon and evening. Hoping it'll be enough for the gardens everywhere!

Not had monsoon type, thankfully!
