How Would You React If Someone Spilt Drink On Your Best Furniture?

I had some friends round for drinks and eats last night and one of them spilled drink on my best sofa. I smiled sweetly and said, 'That's ok', when inside l was seething! My poor kids would never have got away with that! I would have screamed at them!!
I'm not house proud but...... it's my best furniture!
How would you react?

I would go mad, sorry, I wouldn't be able to hold it in!! End of friendship, then.
I am so OCD with my home anyway I never have people round, much prefer to meet up away from my home.

Can you rescue the furniture and get it back to normal, Artangel?

Happens all the time at our house - I've got used to it. Consider your settee "christened"

I wouldnt be all that happy but I certainly wouldnt end a friendship because of a mishap...and besides I dont have best furniture to get spoilt anyway....my chairs and sofa are all charity shop buys so well used secondhand items.......forgive your friend Art and just sponge down your sofa...friends are worth far far more than any sofa could or would ever be

I see it like this , first mistake was inviting friends 'in' ...... second was 'drinks' ..... that is what the letter box / straws are for and now with the benifit of mobile fones /FaceTime or indeed cctv you can talk to your guests without shouting through letterbox

Best meeting in the pub. Ruin their furniture instead.

Kill 'em, kill 'em all! But in the garden, not the lounge, because blood spatter gets everywhere .....

Depending on who is visiting (especially bloody kids), we place 'throws' over our settees. Easily and quickly removed if someone drops something on them.

Of course, you should count yourself lucky. It could have been something far worse than lager that they spilled.
