British actor Peter Vaughan dies.

British actor Peter Vaughan has died aged 93.

Was a great actor could adapt to any role, did so many parts in series and movies.

A very sad loss, but at least he had a good innings.

I will always remember him as "Grouty" in Porridge and more recently in Game of Thrones. He was a great character actor.

It is sad that 2016 has - and continues - to take away a lot of talent from the world.

A great actor - one of those who turned up in lots of film and TV stuff. Great in Porridge.

RIP

I had to Google him, as I wasn't sure who he was.

I don't like to speak ill of the dead, and yes, I agree he was a good actor, but TBH he gave me the creeps.

I agree! Pesta.
Yes he was a brilliant actor and l'm sorry he has died but he did have a scary face...not that you can help your face!
He usually played creepy parts which didn't help your perception of him!

Re: British actor Peter Vaughan dies.

He was obviously a good actor as anyone who watched Porridge will remember his character Harry Grout....a character that only appeared in 3 episodes.
I think that speaks volumes.

R.I.P
