Compliments.

Do you like to give them ?
Do you like to receive them ?
I say yes to both.
It is a nice feeling when someone compliments you, and it is a nice feeling when you compliment someone.

Re: Compliments.

In deed I do I like to compliment others and it's nice to get them myself but bit embarrassing if you know they are insincere.

Re: Compliments.

I think it’s right to compliment a person for something well done, and I always do in a genuine way, it makes them feel confident and a confident person always does a better job the next time, they then set their own high standards. On the other hand I get all embarrassed when someone compliments me, except the wife of course, compliments from her are few and far between, fit to be framed are they.

Re: Compliments.

I like to give out compliments to others,I need to recieve them too but I usually just tend to want to brush over a compliment ....not because I dont enjoy being complimented just that I think "oh someones complimenting me" it catches me offguard

Re: Compliments.

Receiving and giving genuine compliments,is like sunshine on a rainy day .

My family and I always compliment each other and my grand sons and grand daughters constantly tell me I look lovely

I return the compliment.

However some English men would view you with suspicion if you paid them a complement wondering what you were after!

How lovely it is in Italy where all men naturally pay women compliments daily, even if you are 92 they will greet you with Bella'and Kiss Kiss Kiss. as well.

Re: Compliments.

After mixing in the wrong circles, it is difficult to figure out sincerity, that is, if real sincerity exists, outside a tragedy.

Re: Compliments.

Compliments to you for starting a very good thread Apricot.
But I would think everybody likes to receive a compliment.
Otherwise, the person that doesn't must be a right little miserable bleeder!
