Happy Wednesday Folk.

Taken on the river Nene last September.
No plans for today. I've started to read 'To Kill a Mocking Bird' after it was in the news a few weeks ago.

Hi LmB, for the last 4 years, for my birthday, I have hired a longboat for the day (£140) and all of my family have sailed down the river Nene. We take food and drink, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic and have had a wonderful day on the river. It works out at just under £20 each for the day - can't grumble at that for a day's entertainment.

I have never taken the controls in all of the 4 years we have done this, I leave that to the young ones. I operate one of the locks which can be quite tiring. While we're travelling I sit in the bow taking photos. You see lots of wildlife and the scenery is beautiful.
