Sons and Daughters

As a Son or Daughter, do you follow your Dad or Mums traits, logic would infer sons follow Dads and daughters follow Moms, but is this the case?

Re: Sons and Daughters

Paul I only knew my Dad not my Mother and I am definitely my father's daughter in many ways

I can 'see' traits belonging to both my husband and myself in my son, it can be quite scary

So no, I don't think that is the case .

Re: Sons and Daughters

Logic might say that but I look and sound like my mum yet I have my dads tastes, passions and logical mindset.

I look a bit like my mother but have more of my fathers nature, thank goodness!

I look like my mum, have some of her nature, but more of my dad's nature.

Re: Sons and Daughters

I can feel that I have traits of both parents . One gift they gave me was being able to laugh at myself .

I think I have found my own 'ways' and path. I is unique!

Well I think so anyway .

PS: After suffering from an identity crisis for many years I had to.

Re: Sons and Daughters

I've possibly inherited some of my father's practical skills, but hopefully I haven't inherited too many of my parents' traits. I wouldn't want to inflict them on my own children.

Re: Sons and Daughters

Physically I look more like my maternal Aunt than anyone mentally I am a mix of my parents and grand parents. My parenting is very much similar style to my Nan.
