Happy Sunday Folk.

My son's garden taken yesterday. Just about a year ago this garden was a mess. The shed on the right was a bird-hide on 5feet high stilts. There was an ugly looking shed on the left. The garden itself was nothing but perennial weeds and there was rubbish everywhere. They've had 5 skipfulls of rubbish taken away and have spent countless hours working on it, sometimes by torchlight during the dark evenings. Now, with the new lawn down, it looks really good and they've already got vegetables growing in the veg garden at the far end. I'm really proud of them.

I should say - its a lovely garden and so nice to see a family such as yours Alan - you are the true meaning of that word 'family'

Thanks Patsy. I do like to think that we're a close family. The son who lives in Germany was wayward in his youth but is a (reasonably) good lad now, apart from being not so considerate as the other two children.

Not doing too much today. Been away part of the week in Scotland
visiting a cyber friend We have spoken on line for over 6 years so
it seemed appropriate to meet up. Nice trip to Scotland for me and
Janet and John were very accommodating which was lovely.
I was going to see the end of the Tour de Yorkshire today in Leeds
but due to the rain and the 150 miles there and back to stand waiting
for the cyclists coming home I decided I will spend the rainey Sunday
at home.

Good morning all. It's raining hard here - I'm pleased we've made no plans. Just going to chill out at home.

I really like your sons garden Alan - It's very attractive & it looks low maintenance which is what I like.
