Happy Sunday Folk.
Two more cat feeding sessions and then we've done. I will have driven about 170 miles and taken some 9 hours doing that job. I wouldn't see my son and his partner stuck but I really do think he should ask a willing neighbour next time they go on holiday.

Good morning everyone, another dry start and a warm forecast again, lovely..
After walking the dogs I'll be tidying the vegetable patch and cutting down the old blackberry canes. My tomatoes have finished now as well with just a few left to ripen on the window cill so I will tidy up those plants as well onto the compost heap.

Morning all. I agree Alan! That is taking fatherly duties above and beyond! Is he reimbursing you for petrol?Lovely photo.
I have just a few tomatoes left on my two plants and look forward to composting those. My co-volunteer mowed my plot yesterday - 3 short paths - as I still suffer back pain (feels a bit less painful today) and I don't want to exacerbate it.

Beautiful swan picture Alan. I think you're a fantastic father to drive all that way to feed your son's cats. Maybe when you & Mrs Cooke go on holiday you could ask him if he'd come over every day to water your plants - it would be interesting to know what his answer would be!I bet I could guess!!

Good morning all, Lovely picture of the swan Alan, do think your son was wrong to expect that of you. I should expect a handsome present when he returns from holiday. He could have put them into a cattery while he was away if he couldn't trust the neighbours to feed them.Well it was very foggy here this morning but the mist is now lifting should be a lovely day hopefully, Have a good one everybody, God bless.
