There are many of them.

Is (are) there any that you really do believe to be true?

I guess one I can think of right now is when trees leaves blow upside down, rain is coming. I really have noticed that & today it was happening. We're supposed to have a thunderstorm tonight.

I thought it was when the cows lay down it was going to rain so they laid down to keep a dry spot.

Yes that one is well known I think, eating cheese before bedtime causes bad dreams is another and apparently science agree eating different varieties of cheese can cause different types of dreams !

Don't walk under a ladder it brings bad luck - what a load of rubbish! Oh dear, perhaps that's a superstition though - not an old wive's tale.

Opening umbrellas in the house and putting shoes on the table were all classed as bad luck...also it you keep looking in the mirror you will see the devil...that scared me.
