Re: Tastes sweet!

Oh thats 'very' norty .......
Yes I have - had a rotten neighbour once, couldn't care less about anyone.... She was out most nights till 3am, soon as she left around 9.30, her dog would bark continuously until - 10 minutes before she got home !! Happened every time ! I spoke to her about it, suggesting things to keep him occupied, she wasn't interested. So, I made a recording of a friends dog a big dog he was, with a good powerful bark. I then played the tape next to her bedroom wall starting at 6.30 am, knowing she didn't rise until at least 10 ! After a few mornings of this - her house went up for sale ....

Re: Tastes sweet!

Quite often

I also had a noisy neighbour who would make a lot of noise late at night that would wake up my daughter. So, when I went on holiday, knowing their bedroom was on the other side of the wall to mine, I placed the alarm clock right up against the wall, then ratcheted up the volume, set the alarm to buzz and to come on at 4am every morning for the next two weeks; bet they wish they'd been more understanding when I'd repeatedly asked them to keep the noise down.

Another neighbour (his garden backed onto mine) was bad for lighting bonfires even though he could see I'd have a line full of nappies and he refused every time to not light his bonfires if I had washing out so, I got the hosepipe and leaned over his fence and put his bonfire out myself - he couldn't light it for days after that soaking and his face was a picture

No I am a forgive and try to forget type person, husband on the other hand can hold a grudge and will get revenge if he has to wait for years to do it.

It wasn't holding a grudge - it was solving the problem .....

Re: Tastes sweet!

My ex got off lightly, ruined my life! When I saw him at my daughter's wedding last year, alone again, no teeth over 20 stone, I forgot I was going to panic & laughed!

What you said about the bonfire made me laugh ben-varrey, but you are braver than me. I have a bit of an oddball one side of me who never speaks to anyone. He has only spoken to me briefly twice in the six years I have lived here, he just scuttles off indoors quickly. Not sure if he's a weirdo or very shy, he's only about half my age too. I have always been lucky with nice neighbours until I moved here, sadly it's very different now, everyone keeps to themselves. Never mind, ey.

Re: Tastes sweet!

There are some very norty ladies on here.

I can't honestly say I'm the vengeful type, but I've never had the problems you've all had. Mayhap - one day - but I'm getting too old to care anymore!

Incidentally, as regards bonfires. Check with your local council. In this neck of the woods people are only allowed to burn after 7 p.m. and before 11 p.m. (except for BBQs, I believe).

Edit: I mean burn bonfires, not people!
