queen live for ever as i will topple oasis

queen live for ever as i will topple oasis 04.04.18

no paranoia
press gang are reeling
not sleeping to catch gonorrhea
but for metro its a somebody to love feeling.
i am going to cause up raw
not trying to be flash or clever
and if i bring liam to my door
he will understand queen who wants to live for ever.
a family feud is the division
its why poring is no supernova champagne
queen are no1 that's the one vision
live for ever to pleasure is so close to pain.
genius is rhapsody
its queens best ever candle
i can appreciate oasis are a prodigy
but writing the best ever song is a scandal.

This of course is the latest poll telling us what the best single of all time is.
All of these polls are complete bollox because it depends on who conducts the poll. If it's from Radio Four listeners you are likely to get a Frank Sinatra song at the top. Radio 1 listeners would no doubt position something by Ed Sheeran or Adele. And Bohemian Rhapsody is voted by listeners of no specific genre who are at best simply "casual music listeners" and whom have no depth or meaning to their thought process, they merely follow the trend of what is "supposed" to be popular, a little like karaoke singers who always sing 'Angels' or 'Summer Of '69' - they are not serious music fans.

So now the Metro cites Oasis' little jingle of a Beatles/Who/Stones/Kinks/Jam/Stone Roses rip off as No.1 does it? Okay, so be it, but I didn't vote for it - perhaps it was the now-defunct NME readers who did so. Says it all really.

I think so Bobby
It's all down to personal opinion. Nobody can say what the best of anything is - everybody is different with their likes and dislikes.
They can have a poll and arrive at the most popular song etc, but that still doesn't mean it's the best, period, does it?

I wouldn't say radio one listeners would be voting for Adele or Ed Sheehan - have you listened to R1 lately ? Its all Grime

Grime is a perfect phrase for that particular genre of "music". I can think of an even more suitable word, and it rhymes with 'rap'!

Crikey oldfool this has got them going.
I know it is just your take on the news, but I suppose some have to have their debate on such matters.

The nice thing about Oasis is that you can always hear the Beatles number that he nicked it from

When I was playing if we ever did an oasis number we always finished it with the tune it was nicked from
