Personality or Possessions

Personality or Possessions. which is more important in another person.

Some people ive encountered are inordinately pleased about the possessions they have garnered over their journey through life. For myself i prefer personality as a trait in another even though they may not have much i often find them warmer and kinder to engage with.

I absolutely abhorr people who count their worth based on their accumulation of material things. When will they ever learn that there ain't no pockets in shrouds!

Re: Personality or Possessions

I have no sentimentality where possessions are concernedthat is for sure. As for people, I am fond of my children and grandchildren, but don't think I am sentimental about them.

Re: Personality or Possessions

I believe personality is far more important than looks. I have never been interested in what people look like, even as a teenager. In my experience, many people whom others consider good looking often lack a decent personality.

You can't beat finding an attractive lady, with a warm personality, who has accumulated/inherited a fare few possessions.

Re: Personality or Possessions

As i teenager i was envious of those with scooters or a car, and for some reason the car owners seemed to elevate the machines to near godhood, by the time i bought my first car late 30`s i had grew out of it they were just a machine. Its nice to have things that make life easier or allow me to pursue my creative side, most of my friends make me laugh, some are rich and some are poor, neither play off it to each other.
