Re: Favourite sweet
I liked liquorice and still do, but these days it has to be of good quality not cheapo stuff. I disliked as a child sweets like bubble gum, gobstoppers, sherbert lemons etc. Mind you had we dared to bring anything like that home the sky would have fallen in, Mother was extremely particular about our diet and only confectionery sanctioned by her was permitted.Re: Favourite sweet
Another fan of licorice hereRe: Favourite sweet
When i was 4 YO my mum run a sweet shop ...so you can guess i was really spoilt when it came to sweets there were so many to pick from, but there was one she didn't keep so on my way to school I used to get them from a rival ....they where something call FIZZ CUBES..about 1 1/2'' square 1/8'' thick different flavours ..when you put them in your mouth they really fizzed and frothed unfortunately the disappeared so you could look like a rabid dog lol ..they did come back several years later but they were smaller and very bland ...Re: Favourite sweet

I too liked, and still like, liquorice but by far my biggest favourite were pear drops, I used to make my tongue sore from sucking on the rough sugar encrusted surface. I liked humbugs too but not as much as pear drops
