Good Morning everyone.

It's very dark here just now - did the Ozzies forget to send the Sun back this morning?

Out for the day with friends - probably on a tour of white goods shops - checking the prices/styles/availability of deep freezers.

Then I have a couple of scientific experiments to do - hope you are all impressed !! They are part of the Meteorology course I am working on. One of them is to demonstrate 'Differential Heating' and the other is to make my own cloud - that should be fun!!

Good morning Tabbles, good luck with the sorcery, although looking outside you must have already succeeded!

Good morning everyone, tipping down here after quite a wet night, good news for the garden though.

Alfie the dog seems a little improved this morning and is walking a bit better, he is to go back and see the vet later this afternoon but I doubt any further treatment will be needed.

It's my walking day today with a friend. We won't be going far though due to my bursitis.
3 miles maximum with visit to garden centre & lunch.

Heavy rain overnight, bright and sunny now.

Loads to do, still walking sideways through piles of boxes.

I need a new cooker, the gas one left is mega hot, no good for having littles around.

Good to see you back posting swims

Starting my kitchen floor today...taking up the old oak floor and putting down polished travertine...much more serviceable. ... well hubby is doing the hard work I'll be the labourer/teamaker and supervise..... he says I'm good at that we did consider renovating the wood but tried a bit and decided it wasn't going to work...

Good morning everyone we had some useful rain in the night which has freshened things up a bit. The sun is out now.

Not a lot planned for today, feeling very stiff having spent hours yesterday on my hands and knees digging plantain out of the lawn with a trowel . It looks better this morning.

Big day today , it is opticians in a short time now to have the old bins checked out. Taking 3 pairs of specs distance -reading and what were reading glasses but vision has changed and hopefully improved so may need new glass in them. Reverted back to a very old pair which are better for reading.

I sent our WEBB petrol electric start walk behind lawn mower to be checked over as it had started what is called hunting. Just got a phone call saying all it needed was a fuel line clearout and new spark plug with general check over. It has never been overhauled in 7 years so the cost of £35 which the firm has charged is very reasonable. So the putt putt comes home this afternoon.

off the the village in a couple of minuites to the opticians so back later.
